For our second Model Interview, we bring you Chicago's Luke Hahle.
.
Where are you from and where do you live now?
I grew up in a small town in Iowa called Maquoketa. I'm well traveled, but currently reside in Chicago (Wicker Park).
How did you get into modeling?
Initially a scam artist planted the seed of modeling when I was in college. Nothing happened with him, so after college I started working construction but finding work as a model was on my mind. I kept it as a hobby and went into Chicago a few times to talk to agencies. They kept telling me to lose weight (the people at Ford anyways). It wasn't until I went to Elite Chicago (now Chosen) that David Love picked me up in a heartbeat. The rest is history.
Most notable work as a model? I don't know. The internet has made the Tony Duran photos very popular. Of course, Abercrombie & Fitch was really popular, and it was surreal for me at the time, shooting with Bruce Weber and all. Being "The Guy Next Door" in Cosmo had everyone talking back where I grew up. My best work is where the photographer lets me be me. But I think it was that credit card commercial in Istanbul, Turkey that made me infamous over night, HA!
Strangest job as a model?
Having to protect a 25+ million dollar diamond necklace for a Cartier party, without my shirt on. I guess it weighed 10 pounds.
Fantasy job as a model you'd like to have one day?
I keep getting "put on option" for fragrances. It would be nice to have one of those campaigns someday for my book/pocket book. It would also be nice to have a great editorial with a great photographer. Dress me up, dress me down. Whatever works.
Someone with whom you'd like to do a swimsuit shoot at the beach?
To shoot with Kate Moss would be awesome. I think she would be really interesting to talk to. Daria Werbowy as well, but I'd probably need a drink before shooting with either one to loosen me up.

In addition to modeling, do you have a day job?
Yes, at the moment, I do a lot of work on the internet. I specialize in search engine optimization (SEO) for web companies. I consult with them or develop marketing strategy via search engines and other internet mediums, mostly viral marketing strategies.
Strange hobbies?
I guess my day job started out as a curious hobby, and considered strange by some. I also like video games a lot; looking forward to "Max Payne 3". Lastly, I like to drive my motorcycle.
Who's on your Ipod?
I guess I'm kind of old school. The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Hank Williams Jr, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, Notorious B.I.G. , Tupac, The Killers, Beyonce, and all that club music is good, too.
A t.v. show you cannot miss?
Deal or no Deal, Two and a Half Men, Saturday Night Live, Conan O'Brien.
Do you have a current celebrity bro-mance?
I like Robert Downey, Jr. Iron Man was my favorite action hero growing up. Clint Eastwood is great too. Harrison Ford. Brad Pitt. I can't pick just one. That guy from Twilight.
What keeps you up late at night? The nightlife. Some times I get involved in a project and my anticipation keeps me awake, eagerly waiting to get up the next day.
What are your guiltiest pleasures?
Lemonheads, Hot Tamales. Peanut butter. A basketball, my mary jane and a sunny day.
.
At which job would you be better, a country singer, a male stripper or the President of the United States?
I don't know if Wall Street would want me to be President. I'd be too progressive and probably too honest, Thomas Jefferson-like. I like karaoke and Johnny Cash, so maybe I'd be a good country music singer.
A message to your fans?
Thanks for the support, and I'll try and I'll get some new photos online soon. You all keep me going.
Any final last thoughts?
It's a silly thing we call life. It seems a path has been paved for me, beyond my control. It has been a great journey so far.
